The Pop Project

To officially launch our British Values week here at Corpus Christi, we invited ‘The Pop Project’ in to school. They talked to us about our British Values and illustrated them in an interesting way.

They taught us all about Democracy, Rule of law, Mutual respect, Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs – reminder of the major faiths and acceptance of our differences. The Pop Project taught us all about Respect and Tolerance, whilst reiterating that we all have to get along with each other.

We looked at the four countries of the UK we talk briefly about each. Then we dressed up in traditional costumes and played  traditional musical instruments e.g. bagpipes, harps, etc.  And we even got everyone doing some simple dances from each country.

We looked at Great Britain and talked about the most important people from history in areas such as sport, writing, science, etc.

We had a fantastic day and we can’t wait to see all that British Values week has to offer. Watch this space!
