Making Nests For Birds.

In nursery we have been learning all about different birds. We learnt lots of facts about robins and sparrows and we made our own robins from paper plates. We pretended to be birds and we took turns to walk on the stilts and try to balance , it wasn’t easy we kept falling over. Now we know how hard it must be for birds when they are balancing high up in a tree. We talked about where birds lived , we knew they didn’t live in houses like we do ,but in nests. We looked at the different things the bird makes his nest out of and we made our own nests using feathers, soil, moss, wool, cotton wool, feathers, twigs and leaves. When we had finished building our nests the robin tried the nest out and found them to be very warm and cosy.
