With a busy year ahead for year 2 and year 6, the children have partnered up to ensure they can look out for each other. Lots of lovely new friendships have already appeared and it'll be great to see these develop over the year as they get to know each other.
The weather was definitely on our side today!
Our prayers were heard and the sun came out for a visit.
The children of EYFS & KS1 had a fantastic day, demonstrating their team
spirit and support of one another.
Thank you for all the support from our families, it was great to see so many there.
Today in cooking club we made Greek Salad. The children used sharp knives for the first time this evening and developed their cutting skills using the bridge hold. We also talked about goats cheese what it is made from and we had a little tasting session.
Tonight in cooking club we made sultana scones. We used the rubbing method to make the scones and carefully cut the scones out making sure we didn't roll the dough out too much which would have made our scones very heavy and not nice to eat. They smelt delicious.
For British Values week, Wren got creative and created a well- known British dessert: the trifle.
They carefully thought about their trifle layers. They all look absolutely delicious.
