At Corpus Christi, we are always proud when the children independently choose to continue their learning outside of school. This week, Zachary in year 5 brought in a lego model of The Highway Man which he has built alongside his literacy homework. We love to see your creations, please bring them in and show your teacher.
Year 5 have been diving into dictionaries! As part of our current work based on 'The Highway Man', the children have identified and highlighted any language they have not understood. They have then used dictionaries to find definitions and create their own definition flap books.
Streetwise Soccer came into school today to speak to all of the children in an assembly. On Wednesday 4th October, they will be coming back into school to deliver workshops with each class. Alongside learning new skills, the children will even have the opportunity to use inflatable pitches and penalty shoot outs. Next week, the children will bring home...
In year 5 and 6 RE, we are discussing love and whether or not it has to be earnt. Hawk class discussed this in groups and we spent time considering what 'things' we need. We then thought about who provides the things we need and why they work for them/give them to us.
This week, we have had a mad scientist in school. She delivered an assembly showing us lots of interesting experiments and we even got involved. Tonight, letters will be sent home with details of workshops to be held after school each week. Be sure to return the form to get involved. IMG_1244
