The weather was definitely on our side today!
Our prayers were heard and the sun came out for a visit.
The children of EYFS & KS1 had a fantastic day, demonstrating their team
spirit and support of one another.
Thank you for all the support from our families, it was great to see so many there.
Today in cooking club we made Greek Salad. The children used sharp knives for the first time this evening and developed their cutting skills using the bridge hold. We also talked about goats cheese what it is made from and we had a little tasting session.
Tonight in cooking club we made sultana scones. We used the rubbing method to make the scones and carefully cut the scones out making sure we didn't roll the dough out too much which would have made our scones very heavy and not nice to eat. They smelt delicious.
Hawk and Swallow class reunited once again to reflect upon the Christmas Story. The children then chose a character from the Nativity story and created this using modelling clay. As you can see, the children were reflective and created some beautiful masterpieces!
The children of Hawk class delivered a special gift to their prayer partners. They had each designed and created their own Christmas card with a special message inside. Judging by their reactions, it would seem the cards were a huge success!
To help with our Night and Day topic, Swallow class had a special visit from a police officer. Swallow Class wanted to learn more about jobs that people do at night so they gladly interviewed PC Fraser.
