In year 5 and 6 RE, we are discussing love and whether or not it has to be earnt. Hawk class discussed this in groups and we spent time considering what 'things' we need. We then thought about who provides the things we need and why they work for them/give them to us.
Today, Hawk and Starling class met up for the first time this year as prayer partners. Children were paired up with a buddy who they will build a friendship with over the course of the school year. The children of EYFS & KS1 had a fantastic day, demonstrating their team
spirit and support of one another.

Year 5 were very lucky this week to experience a visit off an author.
Dolores Gordon- Smith came in and the children asked her questions about mystery writing and Sherlock Holmes.
After this, they wrote their own mystery setting based on a picture, which they then read out and received professional author feedback.

After Easter, EYFS have been learning all about the Good News of Jesus sending the Holy Spirit to his Disciples. As a response to our learning, we decided to spread the Holy Spirit to others around the world. We released doves using balloons, and said a special prayer to Jesus, to thank Him for sending us the Holy Spirit as He promised.
Today we invited into school parents of children from Year 4 and they had lunch with Miss Pugh.
